FLEXIBLE OPTIONS FOR YARN ANALYSIS |

The USTER® TENSORAPID 4 can generate tailor-made reports, thanks to its intelligent user guide. Reports can easily be customized, with adjustable layouts, freely selectable columns and precise setting of parameters. Line diagrams for strength and elasticity provide information in a way which numbers alone cannot express – you can pinpoint, for example, periodic changes in the strength and elasticity. Stress-strain curves show the tensile strength and stretching behavior during the entire stress phase. The relevant stress area can also be observed in more detail, according to the end use intended for the yarn. Detailed evaluation of individual curves is also possible. |

TOTAL FLEXIBILITY AND EASE OF USE |
The USTER® TENSORAPID 4 uses the latest software technologies. The evaluation unit can operate up to four tensile testers simultaneously, resulting in a considerable saving of time and cost. With the USTER® TENSORAPID 4, strength measurements of up to 1500 N are possible giving the flexibility to measure a wide variety of yarn types, including filament yarns, on the same system. The clamping strength, the thread brake and the yarn suction are all freely programmable – and adjustable to both the material being tested and the customer’s individual requirements. |

A range of specially designed clamps and accessories guarantees optimal, reliable and reproducible testing of yarns, hanks, slivers and also fabric strips. Whatever material you wish to test, the USTER® TENSORAPID 4 can be equipped with exactly the right accessories for the job. The clamps can be arranged horizontally or vertically, depending on the material being tested. With a horizontal clamping position, the danger of clamp breaks with critical yarns can be avoided, since a considerable percentage of the stress will be absorbed by the frictional surface. |

QUALITY MANAGEMENT OF FILAMENT YARNS |
The filament yarn sector is fast moving, with new yarn types and novel application possibilities under continuous development. In recognition of the special requirements of the filament yarn industry, USTER® has introduced a purpose-designed software package, which caters for these changing needs. Systematic quality control, using this special software with the USTER® TENSORAPID 4, means errors can be detected reliably and at an early stage of the process. As well as the standard tensile test parameters, the filament yarn software package can also calculate the following additional characteristics:
