Around 15% of undesirable phenomena in fabric are caused by hairiness defects. In contrast to mechanical alteration of yarn hairiness, yarn compacting through the spinning technique depends less on the direction of feed. In this, the use of vacuum in the spinning triangle achieves more effective integration of the fibers – all fibers are positively controlled before the twist is applied. The result is a significantly lowered hairiness and a visibly improved evenness.
