USTER®’s capacitive measuring system has been a synonym for the textile quality control and quality assurance for more than 50 years. When developing the USTER® TESTER 5-S400 with its traditional, capacitive sensor for mass evenness, an attractive price/performance ratio was essential. |
All the criteria of comparable quality control plus an optimal and reproducible analysis of yarn quality and spinning process are fulfilled. Today, foreign fibers are important issues in spinning mills because too many foreign fibers make it impossible to sell the yarn. The integrated FM Sensor detects and classifies foreign fibers directly in one step with all other important quality parameters.

Hairiness has an influence to the quality of yarn in woven and knitted fabrics. About 15% of unacceptable fabric appearance is caused by uncorrected hairiness values. USTER® HAIRINESS is the only accepted standard in spinning mills and is, of course, comparable to the USTER® STATISTICS. |
