The Online Sliver Monitoring System

The USTER® SLIVERGUARD is an automatic online system of modular designfor quality control in sliver production. The system monitors measurement fluctuations, unevenness and periodical faults directly on the production line. As soon as the defined limits are exceeded, an alarm or a machine stop is triggered.

Key Facts in Brief

• USTER® SLIVERGUARD continuously monitors all the major sliver quality parameters which are viewable at the system’s terminal on the machine:
  • count (A%)
  • evenness (CV%, CVL%)
  • periodic faults in spectrogram form
  • short thick-places (> 1.5 cm length)
