Proven technology to protect your investment 
Sparks in transport ducts can be fought by the USTER® JOSSI FIRE SHIELD. So the risk of a fire starting is substantially reduced. Simple metal particles or even a small stone accidently picked up from the cotton field are examples of potentially dangerous contaminants. The USTER® JOSSI METAL SHIELD prevents such items damaging machinery. And when combined with the USTER® JOSSI COMBO SHIELD, the entire mill investment is considered as optimally safeguarded.

USTER® JOSSI FIRE SHIELD
The USTER® JOSSI FIRE SHIELD features an ultra-sensitive spark detection system. It detects and diverts embers which can be a fire hazard. The machine is immediately shut down, alarms are activated, and all ember-contaminated material is evacuated from the ducting.

USTER® JOSSI METAL SHIELD
USTER® JOSSI METAL SHIELD is an ultra-sensitive metal detection system for the elimination of metal particles. It reliably detects and removes metal pieces. Even tiny non-magnetic particles such as aluminium and copper are safely taken out – without disturbing the production process.

USTER® JOSSI COMBO SHIELD
This combination of USTER® JOSSI FIRE SHIELD and USTER® JOSSI METAL SHIELD offers security. It prevents damage from sparks and metal parts in blowroom transport ducts. USTER® JOSSI COMBO SHIELD combines highly-sensitive metal and spark detection systems. Together, they defend against costly mechanical damage to machines and against fires.

Features

  • USTER® JOSSI FIRE SHIELD: Detected sparks and embers are killed by injecting liquid fire extinguisher onto the ejected hazard (optional Extinguishing System).
  • USTER® JOSSI METAL SHIELD: The Speedsense (optional) minimizes the amount of ejected material. It matches activation times to the speed and size of detected metal particles. This results in average savings of 90% of good cotton.
